Diamonds, Diamond Proportions
Diamond proportions comprise six of the twenty major items affecting how a diamond performs. Diamond proportions are table percentage, depth percentage, crown angle, pavilion angle, pavilion depth. Think of them as the framework for a building, with the facets as the walls.
Diamond proportions are occasionally taught by the trade. But you will notice a distinct lack of listing all of the diamond proportions and they are all important. Mostly you see just table percentage and depth percentage, which leaves a lot to go wrong.
